KO Gathering at White Memorial Camp

Each summer, several UCC congregations in the KO Conference get together at White Memorial Camp near Council Grove Kansas for shared worship, food, and fun.

The date this year is August 25.

The schedule will be: worship at 10:30, lunch (potluck) at noon, and freewill activities the rest of the day.

Weather permitting, the waterfront and swimming pool will be open. There will be hayrides, prairie surfing, and lots of games and other activities, indoors and out. Those not looking for activities can just rest and enjoy the atmosphere and spend time with friends old and new. There is no charge for attending, although a freewill offering to benefit the camp will be taken. Participating congregations have generally cancelled their own worship that day, but groups from congregations that still hold their own service are welcome. Some, especially among those who come from a distance, choose to arrive the night before with their campers or tents.

Cottages sleeping 8 or 16 are available for rent. The welcome mat is out! If you are interested in being part of this day, or you would simply like more information, call John Austin: 785-238-0157.
