As the calendar turns to a new year, we are invited into a season of reflection, renewal, and intentionality. The New Year is more than just a date on the calendar; it is a symbolic threshold, a moment to pause and consider the year behind us and the one that lies ahead. It allows us to ask meaningful questions: What have I learned? Where have I grown? What needs to change? Are there new promises that I need to make? Or old ones that I need to revisit?

The coming few years will be tough for our beloved LGBTQ siblings, open or in the closet. Let us be sure to support our LGBTQ clergy who contribute to the heart of our Conference!

The new year is off to an eventful start. We are on the brink of welcoming a new presidential administration, bringing with it the uncertainties of transition. At the same time, Kansas experienced a powerful ice and snowstorm that shut down multiple sections of the I-70 corridor - a storm some are calling the storm of the century.

Conference leadership has invited Rev. Phil Hart to conduct a series of three Zoom sessions aimed at helping churches of all sizes explore their next steps in ministry. Each session builds on the last, promoting meaningful discussions for pastors and their leadership teams. 

As Christmas day draws near, we are reminded of the profound message of hope, love, and renewal brought to us in the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Certificate is a fully-online, asynchronous certificate program that explores the theological dimensions of youth ministry in local church settings.

Friends, I encourage you to keep stretching beyond your comfort zones to share Christ's love with others. Building relationships within your congregation, community, and beyond sustains hope in our world. In reaching out and connecting with others, may you feel a deeper connection to the Holy.

Each summer, several UCC congregations in the KO Conference get together at White Memorial Camp near Council Grove Kansas for shared worship, food, and fun.

June Reflections: Embracing Diversity and Mourning Loss

Typically, the KO Conference hosts an annual clergy retreat. This year, because it is an election year, we have offered three mini-retreats on the topic of “Ministry in an Election Year.”

The Committee on Ministry - Discernment (COM D) officially invites the Kansas-Oklahoma Conference to the Ecclesiastical Councils' of Rev. Scott Spencer and Rev. Glenda Skinner-Noble Sunday, June 23rd at 3:00 pm. Both Rev. Spencer and Rev. Skinner-Noble are seeking Privilege of Call status.
