Virtual Lenten Book Club

Lent invites us to pause, reflect, and realign our hearts. This March, join us on a four-week journey exploring the spiritual practice of generosity—not as an obligation but as a way of life rooted in abundance. This is a time for reflection, conversation, and inspiration—no rigid study, just shared wisdom.

Guiding our conversation will be The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Through her wisdom, we’ll reflect on what nature teaches us about generosity, the sacred exchange of giving and receiving, and how we might embody abundance in our daily lives.

In collaboration with the Nothern Plains Conference, come with an open heart, a curious mind, and a willingness to explore what it means to give and receive in a world brimming with possibility in spite of the challenges we are seeing all around us. All are welcome! Begins March 10th and lasts 4 weeks. Register at bit.ly/Serviceberry25.

Hosted by Rev. Michael Vollbrecht, Generosity Officer with the National Ministries of the United Church of Christ. Michael supports UCC conferences in North and South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma.
