Rev. Phil Hart serves the wider church as an Intentional Interim Conference Minister, specializing in supporting conferences in times of transition. He recently completed his role as Interim Conference Minister for the Tri-Conference (Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota). With that call now complete, Phil returns to his first love: the local church.
Phil's connection to ministry runs deep. He cannot recall when he didn't feel called to serve. As a child, he preached to cows and chickens; by age 20, he was already pastoring churches. Phil holds three master's degrees, including one in organizational communication focusing on organizational change.
Over the past 30+ years, Phil's extensive experience has included roles as a local pastor, professor of communication and theology, licensed social worker, and consultant for businesses and non-profits. For the past 17+ years, he has served as Conference Minister in 11 UCC conferences, supporting over 2,000 churches across the United Church of Christ.
