The Numbers Are In, and You Are Amazing!

The question among Conference Ministers these days is how did your Conference giving fare in 2020? What was your OCWM (Our Church’s Wider Mission) giving? Well, the news for KO is GREAT! The Finance and Stewardship Committee met on February 13th and reviewed the 2020 year-end financials. Thank you for your continued support and generosity, especially in an incredibly challenging year! Remember money is mission and it’s only with your support that together we can fulfill the mission of the Conference.  Here are the numbers:

Our Church’s Wider Mission Giving
2019 Total: $201,300
2020 Budgeted: $213,929
2020 Total: $198,232

While KO did fall $15,697 shy of our budgeted OCWM goal – coming in just $3,067 below 2019 during a year full of such unprecedented challenges is absolutely amazing. With congregations unable to worship in-person and all the many adaptations that pastors and members have had to make, we are incredibly thankful for your invaluable continued support of the ministry of the Conference!

Overall Income
2019 Total Income: $231,093
2020 Budgeted: $262,203
2020 Total Income: $222,776

Overall income was down in 2020, but don’t forget: You supported the Medical Debt Initiative and raised $40,000 above and beyond the Conference budget as well! Although there was an $8,317 decrease in overall Conference income in 2020, generosity for the year was actually up. This deficit in income in comparison to 2019 was offset by forgiveness of the PPP Loan ($23,194).

Total Expenses vs. Income
2020 Expenses: $238,030
2020 Income: $7,940

Even with all of the challenges we faced in 2020, the Conference still ended the year with $7,940 income over expenses.

Thank you again for personally making a difference by supporting the ongoing ministry of the Conference. Because of your support, we can continue our commitment to being a beloved community in Christ that extends God’s extravagant welcome, connects churches and serves as a vessel used by God to transform lives.
