The Conference is grateful for the work of Mark Van Dorn, who has served faithfully as Conference Treasurer and Chair of the Finance & Stewardship Committee. Mark made the decision to step back from his duties so that he could focus more readily on family and business obligations. We will miss him! Conference Minister Edith Guffey and Conference President Bobbie Henderson offer this recognition of gratitude.

“Mark has been an indefatigable presence with the Council and the Conference for most of the last ten years. His dedication and commitment to excellence set a high standard for Council members and other Conference leadership.” - Bobbie

“I have had Mark Van Dorn on my speed dial since the first day I came to KO as Conference Minister. And while it is always hard when good leaders move on, I am glad that Mark is taking the time he needs to care for himself and the needs of his family following the death of his father. I am deeply grateful for the gifts Mark generously shared with the Conference so many years and look forward to the ways he may continue to serve in a less demanding role. While he leaves this formal role of treasurer, I know he will always be a cheerleader for the Kansas-Oklahoma Conference and the UCC that he dearly loves.” - Edith
