Grandparents for Gun Safety is a Kansas City-based non-profit organization with a mission to make the communities we share safe for all. Since 2014, Grandparents for Gun Safety has hosted an annual Community Forum to educate the public about gun violence and promote ways it can be reduced. The 2022 Forum was held on October 10 at Colonial Church in Prairie Village with 130 attending in person and 70 via Zoom. The keynote speaker was Josh Koskoff, an attorney who has received national recognition after winning a $73 million settlement from Remington Arms for nine families of victims killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. Other speakers included legislators and community activists.
